# Clothing Guide

### Step 1) Obtain a clothing import slot <a href="#how-do-i-obtain-a-lock-slot" id="how-do-i-obtain-a-lock-slot"></a>

{% hint style="info" %}
You can purchase a clothing import slot off the [store](https://store.cmgstudios.net/), or by purchasing them off another player in-game.
{% endhint %}

***

### Step 2) Choose and edit a template <a href="#how-do-i-use-my-lock-slot" id="how-do-i-use-my-lock-slot"></a>

[You can download the templates here.](https://cdn.cmgstudios.net/content/fivem/CMGClothingTemplates.zip)

We've provided the UV mappings and model files you'll need to get started. The UV mappings show exactly how the texture is applied to the clothing item, making it much easier to understand where different parts of your design will appear in-game.

Open the provided UV mapping in your preferred image editing software and use it as a guide while creating or editing your texture. You can add colours, logos, patterns, adjust existing details, or create an entirely new design depending on your needs.\
\
Please bare in mind, no copyrighted material or NSFW images are allowed.

We have included a [DurtyClothTool ](https://gta.clothing/)project in the template files to preview your changes, use this to replace the textures and see how it will look ingame.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.cmgstudios.net/cmg-store/clothing-guide.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
